Show Them Your Responsible And Say I have Gone Over List Of Things I Should Do To Be Prepared And Emergancy Numbers Phone Charged. Tell Your Parents When You Will Be Back And Who You Hanging Out With, Were, And What Your Main Reason For Going There. I DO Not Recommend Trying To Get Them In A Good Mood As Cleaning Or Saying “I Love You!” That’s Not A Good Idea Because Most Parents Catch On Easily. Over 1 out of 15 Parents Fall For That. Do Not Take The Risk. Hope This Helps!

Well, there are a lot of variables here. Your age is a huge factor, and if you are the type of kid that has not given your parents any reason not to trust you, you might use that to your advantage.

However, if you do give your parents cause to worry due to past behavioral issues, then you might be fighting an up hill battle. I’m not suggesting you do, but it is a lot easier to say “have I ever given you any reason to mistrust me before”?

Also, if you are asking to go to a music festival on your own (without adult supervision) for the first time, I think you don’t stand any chance of going…………Sorry, but if this is the case, you need to go somewhere that doesn’t carry the stigma of that of a “music festival”. Somewhere a bit more mellow for a trial run. Sorry, but parents have this internal “red flag” that will shoot up when things like “concert’, or “music festival” are thrown at them…………Just scares the beegeezzes outta them….

EDIT: The first post had some good ideas, giving your parents as much information as you can, promising to check in, and proposing the idea in a mature, adult manner could not hurt either……..
