Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

Using my training as an applied developmental psychologist, I offer individually tailored solutions based on the most current research in child development and developmental psychology. I work with families, day cares and schools on dealing with a variety of developmental challenges. I focus on empowering parents and caregivers by giving you the knowledge and tools you need to minimize misbehaviors and enhance development of social skills that all children need to thrive.  Whatever issue you are dealing with right now (such as power struggles, developmental delays, aggression, not listening, etc.), I will work with you on finding the best solution for your child and family.

What should I expect when I schedule a consultation with you?

My goal in supporting your parenting journey is to provide you with knowledge and specific techniques custom-fit for your family needs to overcome the challenges you are currently facing. Most of the time we will be working on improving your parenting skills for you to gain the confidence and tools needed to become the best parent your child needs. After working with me, you will understand what drives your child's behavior and how to respond appropriately to support your child's development. You should expect to receive an individualized plan that you can start implementing immediately with your family to stir your children towards becoming confident, resilient, kind, and happy.

If you decide to book a consultation session with me, how does it work?

Once you decide on the type of consultation session you are interested in, click "Book it" and find a time that works for you in my calendar. You will be then asked to enter your information as well as a payment. Please take time to read the Parenting Consultation Agreement on this website. Following the payment, you will receive a confirmation email, which will include a link for our online meeting (via Zoom). You will click on this link when it's time for our appointment.

Once we are both online, we will spend a few minutes talking about your concern, what type of parenting support will fit your family's needs best, as well as hopes and goals for the future. I will then answer any questions you might have before we will move into the next part of the meeting during which I will provide feedback and present my recommendations.

Meetings last one hour. At the end of the meeting, we will schedule a follow-up meeting if you will decide to continue our sessions. You will also receive a follow-up email summary covering the suggestions and recommendations we discussed.

How many sessions will it take to find a solution to my challenge?

The number of sessions will depend primarily on the issues you would like to focus on. My goal is always to provide the best solution that will be effective as soon as possible.

What are your fees?

I offer private consultations as part of my parent coaching work, and group workshops on a a variety of child development and parenting topics. Private consultations cost $100 per 60 minutes.

For your convenience, I am able to accept PayPal and all major credit cards.

When purchasing a package plan, the price per session is significantly lower and free email support is provided between meetings. You are encouraged to email with success stories, questions, concerns or clarification at any time between meetings. All services are custom tailored to fit the needs of your family and meetings can be scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Please contact me directly for group fees as these will vary based on your needs.

Do you take insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider and do not work with insurance companies, but will provide detailed invoices to assist in submitting to your insurance company. Please contact your insurance company to determine if your coverage allows reimbursement for seeing an out-of-network provider.

What is your availability?

I attempt to accommodate your schedule as much as possible, even if that means early morning or late evening appointments. If you don't see a time that works for you, send me an email and we will find an alternative time.
